Plan-the-Hang

Plan-the-Hang is the AI-driven feature that converts a fresh match into a concrete first hangout plan in one tap. The moment two members match, the Friend? AI uses both members' Big Five facet profiles, interest tags, current city, and the live local events feed (Ticketmaster, Yelp, OpenStreetMap, Reddit, public holidays, weather) to draft three candidate hangouts.

Each candidate has: - A real venue near both members (within both radii) - A realistic time (respecting both members' availability patterns) - Two conversation starters pulled from the facet overlap

You pick one. One tap sends the invite to the other member as the FIRST message in your DM thread — pre-formatted, no small talk. They accept, modify, or send a counter-proposal.

Plan-the-Hang exists because the single most reliable way friendship apps fail is the small-talk gap. Two people match, one says "hey," the thread dies. Replacing the small-talk opener with a concrete plan removes that gap. The friction of "what should we even do" is gone before it starts.

The feature is rate-limited per tier: Free has zero AI plans per month (you see the matches but draft your own opener), Friend+ gets 5/mo, Social and Founders' are unlimited.
